The pony party theme has become quite the popular rage, second only to the unicorn’s fame! It’s a pretty versatile theme, since we can easily incorporate a live petting zoo, and pony rides for entertainment. For this particular event, we also arranged for the kids to paint canvasses with an art instructor.
The Decor
The party was held in the front yard of the guest of honor’s home. It lent the perfect dose of charm to the theme, with its lush greenery. A beautiful architectural staircase and arch provided a gorgeous backdrop to the dessert table!
We mostly played off the bright rainbow colors from the My Little Pony series, while keeping the overall look more floral and garden-like. The pony characters were reflected in the rainbow cake design, the cookies and the cake pops.
The Details
The kids enjoyed petting bunnies and other farm animals, while waiting on their individual pony rides. The canvas painting activity kept them happy, busy and entertained for well over an hour. Some of the kids chose to paint a My Little Pony character, while some went with dinosaurs, dragons, and such!
