A tea party is perfect for a first birthday, a baby shower or even a bridal shower! For Navaeh’s first birthday party, I worked with her mom to host a delicate and charming little gathering in the family’s backyard. Even though it turned out a hot and humid afternoon, the guests enjoyed all the sweet details and lovely little finger foods to sample!
The Decor
The party was held in the backyard of the guest of honor’s home. It lent the perfect dose of charm to the theme, with its lush greenery. The beautiful pool provided a gorgeous backdrop to the vintage dessert cart!
We rented some gorgeous vintage mismatched teacups and saucers from Vintage English Teacup, and pulled color inspiration from those pieces for the rest of the decor. Combining those with antique milk glass vases and nature-inspired details yielded a final look that was delicate, feminine and still child-like!
The Details
For catering, we worked with Talk Of The Town for their impeccable service. From the cucumber and sweet butter tea sandwiches, to
the smoked salmon and cream cheese tea sandwiches, to the sliced turkey and cranberry puree with basil aioli tea sandwiches, to the wild mushroom salad profiteroles, to the stuffed cherry tomatoes with herb cream cheese, everything was absolutely delicious. Each table also featured tiered servers with mini scones and clotted cream, strawberry jam fruit tartlets with fresh berries, and chocolate truffles.
The dessert cart served custom desserts made by Pum’s Sweets.
